On December 28, 2023, donated items for phase 1 of the "Love the Old, Love the Young" program were officially delivered to the facilities in need.
DONATION OF ITEMS BATCH 1
After a short period of campaigning to contribute items to the "Love the Old, Love the Young" program, the gifts were finally packaged and delivered to those who really need them on the afternoon of December 28, 2023.
Santa team and Red Cross District 1 visited and gave gifts345 diaper bagsat hospitals:Tu Du, Children's Hospital 2 and District 1 Hospital. Attending were comrades: Tran Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of the City Red Cross Association. Ho Chi Minh; Nguyen Truong Giang, Chairman of the District 1 Red Cross Association and representatives of the District 1 Health Department.
Details of round 1 gift giving:
01. Tu Du Hospital:
The first destination of the journey to spread love is"Hoa Binh Village" of Tu Du Hospital- a home of refuge for many abandoned children.
Seeing and meeting the children with our own eyes brought many emotions to us. Most of the children are children who were secretly abandoned by their parents when they were born. But it is even more heartbreaking when these children suffer from extremely severe diseases due to the effects of Dioxin.
Here, we gave gifts of diapers and diapers of all kinds to the children. Hopefully this small gift can partly ease the mental and physical pain that the children suffer.
02. Children's Hospital 2
The next destination in the giving ceremony is:Children's Hospital 2.Here, we donate small sized diapers, suitable for children being treated at the hospital. These items have been delivered to the Social Work Department of Children's Hospital 2. They will then be arranged and delivered directly to difficult cases.
03. District 1 Hospital
Ending the trip to spread love, we stopped atDistrict 1 Hospital. Each package of diapers represents the hearts of benefactors near and far. Therefore, to continue our journey of sharing difficulties with the less fortunate, especially the elderly, we have carefully packaged and transported convenient diaper items and sent them to the elderly who are being treated at the hospital.District 1 Hospital.
